ParfionParf`on a.k.a. Oleh Parf`onov

(July 7, 1954 - December 17, 2014) musician "by vocation" performing street artist and author of songs, was born in St. Petersburg, however, spent the latter part of his life in Ivano-Frankivsk. His youth years were mostly devoted to music: after studying at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory he made his living as a musician. The artist moved to Ivano-Frankivsk in the 90s and immediately felt perfectly at home among the local hang-outs. Drew the last ten years of his life. Used all materials at hand - cardboard, paper, plywood board, pencils, crayons, markers, tempera, acrylic, oil. Among the main subjects of his masterpieces: faces of angels and demons living around us. Organized five personal exhibitions, but most of his work could be seen on his paintings in public places of the city. Some pictures are being sold on charitable basis at IF pub BarDuck.
